Kamala’s Tears and the Lamentations of the Left – Doomed by identity politics. By: Stuart J. Cvrk

In the aftermath of Donald Trump’s blowout victory over Kamala Harris on Tuesday, the communist Democrats and their legacy media sycophants seem to be trapped in the first four stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, and depression. The likelihood that they will ever transition to the fifth stage – acceptance – is nil, given their incurable Trump Derangement Syndrome that they nurtured over the past 8 years. After all, many of them have STILL never accepted Trump’s victory in 2016 (the execrable Hillary Clinton is a case in point).

For Trump supporters, time spent watching the long faces and soul-searching on CNN and MSNBC after the election was called for Trump early Wednesday morning has been well worth it, as people in weak moments frequently disclose what they REALLY think. And we all know that those two networks (as well as the rest of the legacy media) were nearly 100% in the tank for Kamala and are suffering bigly these days.

Psychiatrists and therapists are going to do a booming business dealing with grief management of the TDS-afflicted for the foreseeable future!

A QUICK POSTMORTEM

Commentary, analysis, and opinions on “why Kamala lost” have been coming fast and furious in the aftermath of her getting blown out. She spent $1 billion on her campaign after she was anointed the Democrat presidential candidate in the aftermath of The Hologram’s epic incoherency during the Trump-Biden debate that freaked out Democrat movers-and-shakers into kicking Biden to the curb in favor of Kamala. That $1 billion was wasted!

Here are my 2 cents on why she got blown out:

  • She is the worst retail politician at the presidential level in American history; she simply has no ability whatsoever to connect with real people. The more her ghost campaign allowed her to be exposed to the public during the campaign, the more obvious that fact became. She was outed as being unable to speak extemporaneously or answer even the most basic softball questions in obviously Kamala-friendly staged circumstances.
  • She ran a completely fake and staged campaign. The Democrats thought that they could run a “basement campaign” like they did with the Hologram in 2020 but forgot that most Americans had/have no idea who Kamala is or what policies she supports (or doesn’t support). When finally forced by tanking poll numbers to give interviews to explain her policies and answer pointed questions, she bombed them in cringeworthy fashion. “Word salad” has entered the political lexicon in 2024 thanks to Kamala Harris!
  • She ran a schizophrenic campaign. As the presumptive “change candidate,” she also took credit for Biden-Harris policies over the last four years and even blurted out in an interview that that there is not a not a single thing she’d have done differently from Biden.” This is political tin ear nonsense. How can one be a change candidate without acknowledging that needs to be changed and also taking at least SOME ownership for contributing to the problems that warrant a change in direction? After all, she also claimed that she was often the “last person in the room” as those horrible Biden decisions were made (implicitly taking credit for them). Her attempt to flipflop positions on issues was smoked out repeatedly during the campaign to the point that Bernie Sanders let the cat out of the bag that Harris was just being “pragmatic” in her flipflopping in order to get elected. Many people saw through that nonsense, given her voting record of being to the left of the avowed socialist Sanders during her stint in the US senate. [Note: what’s to the left of a socialist if not a communist?]
  • Her entire campaign narrative revolved around two issues: “Trump is a nazi” and abortion. That’s really all she had in the final analysis. She failed in giving voters a real reason to vote for her on the policy front because the issues she championed throughout her career were/are leftwing fringe issues, e.g., taxpayer-paid transgender surgery for the incarcerated, taxing unrealized capital gains, abortion on demand at any time during pregnancy, open borders, mass amnesty for illegal aliens, suppression of dissenting political speech, gun control, etc. Claiming Trump and his supporters to be nazis turned off all fair-minded Americans and failed to resonate with all but the most rabid of people who were already going to vote for her anyway.
  • Her anointment as the Democrat candidate without having earned a single vote in the Democrat primaries completely undercut the multi-year Democrat narrative of “saving our democracy” by voting against the supposedly authoritarian (nazi) Trump. If anything, the Democrats demonstrated that they are the REAL anti-democracy party in their elevation of Kamala without any input from Democrat voters, as well as in their failed efforts to kick Trump off the ballot in several Democrat-controlled states.
  • She is genuinely unlikeable to many discerning people not captured by DEI/identity politics. Kamala was the quintessential DEI candidate! Biden picked her expressly due to her gender and minority status, not based on anything remotely approaching merit. And many people recognized in her the DEI hires in their own lives in recent years who were/are completely unqualified for their positions. Most Americans support equal opportunity based on merit; DEI practices are increasingly seen to be divisive, unfair, and un-American.
  • Lastly, the Democrat lawfare practiced on President Trump was perceived by many Americans to be blatant political persecution, given that the indictments were made by Democrat grand juries and trials conducted in Democrat jurisdictions with Democrat judges, prosecutors, and juries in complete control of the pre-ordained outcomes. Democrat attempts to paint Trump as a “convicted felon” fell on deaf ears because many Americans recognized the patent unfairness of what transpired.

THE TALE OF THE NUMBERS

Total vote count (as of 1500, 7 November, per Reuters): Earning 72,775,191 votes (50.8%), Trump became the first Republican to win the national popular vote since George W Bush in 2004. Kamala’s numbers: 68,101,240 votes (47.5%).  Trump’s total when all votes are counted will likely approach 80 million.

Electoral vote count (as of 1500, 7 November): Trump is at 295 (270 needed for victory) while Harris has 223. Trump may achieve 312 electoral votes when the dust has settled. Post-election, the Democrats have been eerily silent in their previously incessant calls to abolish the Electoral College and to implement the National Popular Vote. Imagine that!

US senate results (as of 1500, 7 November): As of this writing, the Republicans flipped three seats in Ohio, Montana, and West Virginia, with several races still too close to call (Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania). In short, Trump’s long coattails helped flip the US senate to Republican control, as each of the three “flippers” were unabashed Trump supporters. There will likely be at least one more of the undecided races that will be won by a Republican, which would result in a 53-47 split (and the despicable Chuck Schumer kicked to the curb as majority leader).

US House results (as of 1500, 7 November): With a number of contested seats still undecided, Republicans remain in the lead (209 to 194, with 218 required for control) and should ultimately retain control of the US House of Representatives. Republican control of the House, Senate, and the presidency is too delicious to contemplate, given all of the clean-up that needs to be accomplished after the Biden-Harris regime’s wreckage is finally done!

Campaign spending: Per current FEC numbers, Biden-Harris spent over $1.7 billion during 2024 while Trump spent $355 million. Trump’s strategy of exploiting and dominating earned media, engaging with popular podcasters and alternative media, and publicly campaigning every single day this year won the day. Harris’s ghost campaign relied on nearly 100% legacy media support and paid commercials that conveyed platitudes and anesthetized voters while minimizing Harris’s direct exposure to the American people and independent media. The Harris campaign ran 5 television ads for every Trump TV ad. Harris’s traditional campaign model failed to deliver the goods while Trump’s messaging and outreach was brilliantly successful.

ANALYZING THE HAND-WRINGING

In the final analysis, Kamala did not outperform Joe Biden in a single state (somewhere, Jill Biden is smiling about that). She underperformed among black and Latino men, suburban women, blue -collar workers, independents, and younger voters. Her low energy campaign simply did not energize the Democrat base and deliver the typical Democrat turnout witnessed in presidential elections in the recent past.

And the handwringing and navel-gazing among Democrats and their legacy media sycophants has been epic to watch as a result of the blowout. The standard reasons include racism, misogyny, selection of a bad running mate (the communist Walz), Biden undermining her campaign and not stepping aside soon enough, and other poor excuses that ignore reality.

Nicole Wallace’s “Deadline: White House” program on Wednesday on MSNBC was a microcosm of the Left’s lamentations and inability to properly identify the reasons why Harris lost. Here are a few points observed in listening to Wallace and her panel, which included Joy Reid, former Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill, and a Democrat strategist:

  • Joy Reid highlighted Harris’s political career and supposed “success story” while claiming that Harris has “vaunted political skills” and that her mother “taught her well” (Willie Brown was not available for comment)
  • Claire McCaskill virtue-signaled to Joy Reid (complete with a side glance to Reid while shedding fake crocodile tears) about those same faux Harris political skills and what she had to do to get to this career point
  • The panel lamented the supposed built-in bias against minority women in mixed marriages (with heavy doses of racism and white supremacy as the main reasons she lost) while also falsely claiming that Harris “crushed” Trump in their debate
  • The panel channeled racism and misogyny (including the proverbial “glass ceiling” metaphor used by radical feminists since the 1960s); they claimed that there is a core of white men in particular who would never vote for a black woman (while ignoring the dirty little secret that there is a core of black Americans who have been brainwashed to never vote for white male candidates)
  • The panel made a persistent claim that Trump will govern as an authoritarian despite no evidence of that during his first term (and dog-whistling by their commentary for a coordinated seditious resistance to the “nazi Trump” going forward in a repeat of the Obama plan hatched in January 2021)

Over on CNN on Wednesday, a panel argued about reasons why black men increased their support for Trump this year compared to 2020. A black male Harris supporter claimed that Trump offered no policies targeted for black men and could not understand the shift. A black male Trump supporter identified that closing the border would reduce competition with illegal aliens for jobs, which would definitely black men.

This particular mini-debate inadvertently highlighted the major political difference between the Democrat/Harris political view of America versus Donald Trump’s view. Democrats believe in targeted policies that benefit specific constituencies and demographics. That fits their political model of buying votes through identity politics, engendering victimhood among their voting base, and using pay-to-play on specific issues to fund their spoils system. Over time, the Democrats have exploited the divisions and resentments engendered by this model among various groups for their own political gain. Nothing unifying, nothing inherently pro-American.

Enter Donald Trump whose focus has been on policies that benefit ALL Americans, not just targeted constituencies: close the border, unleash domestic hydrocarbon production, lower taxes and burdensome regulations, strengthen the US military, protect US industries through tariffs, etc. The contrast could not be greater! Trump policies that benefit all Americans regardless of race, color, or creed versus Democrat policies based exclusively on identity politics that divide people and are contrary to the assimilation and melting pot model that has always been America. And THAT is how Trump built his inclusive coalition that included the likes of Elon Musk, RFKjr, former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, Joe Rogan, Herschel Walker, Alveda King (MLKjr’s niece), Bob Unanue (CEO of Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic food company in the US), and countless other Americans. Trump’s coalition has had enough of the DEI and LGBTQI+ mandates, political speech suppression, and the infringement of other constitutional rights being forced down their throats.

These are some of the real reasons that the talking heads on MSNBC and CNN why Kamala Harris was soundly defeated on 5 November.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

Kamala Harris herself has apparently failed to come to grips with her crushing defeat. Her concession speech on Wednesday was a compilation of platitudes while encouraging supporters to “continue the fight for freedom and dignity of all peoples” and “to fight for the justice.” Whose freedom? Whose justice? Only targeted demographic groups and “victims,” of course. Her speech was a dog whistle for continuing the Democrats’ identity politics above all things.

The problem for her is that the internet is forever, and we have some really great sleuths on our side, one of whom compared her concession speech with Hillary Clinton’s in 2016 and found that, just has Kamala plagiarized parts of her 2009 book on criminal reform without attribution, she apparently plagiarized portions of Hillary’s concession speech, too. The bottom line for Kamala and her supporters is that they will never enter the fifth stage of grief (acceptance) until they understand the real reasons why she was blown out on Election Day. Fortunately for us, they are stuck on racism and misogyny and won’t be giving up their identity politics any time soon. That’s fine with me, as the election finally ended the myth that the Democrats represent the majority of people in America. Let them retain their minority party status for the next several decades so that the rest of us can fix the problems they created and get on with Trumpian peace and prosperity.

The end.
